An Irish Prayer For You*

May God give you…
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

May the rains sweep gentle across your fields,
May the sun warm the land,
May every good seed you have planted bear fruit,
And late summer find you standing in fields of plenty.

*yes, YOU!

I did enjoy this little prayer. Such simple words that say too much! After reading your post, I googled for another Irish prayer and BOOM, I posted it in my blog. Sorry for stealing your idea.

Absolutely, my friend. Those Irish prayers are very known.
Someone once sent me the one you posted on your blog. I think that one is the known everywhere. There’s also a translated version to Portuguese which is also beautiful.

What a prayer! I am speechless.
